SAGE-HPC

2026–2030

Multi-fidelity optimisation and high-performance computing.

Simulation benchmark families from the SAGE-HPC kickoff presentation.

SAGE-HPC (Smart strateGies for multi-fidelity optimization in Exascale HPC Environments) was selected through the NumPEx 2025 call. It is coordinated by Laëtitia Giraldi (Inria).

The project combines simulations of different fidelity to optimise physical systems while controlling computing costs. Its case studies cover swimming, aeronautics and geophysics.

Cemosis contribution

Cemosis contributes expertise in numerical modelling and high-performance computing. Christophe Prud’homme leads WP4, which develops an open, modular and portable software platform for hybrid CPU/GPU architectures.

Four research areas

  • Design multi-fidelity optimisation methods.
  • Build physics-based benchmark cases.
  • Compare optimisation strategies and their performance.
  • Deploy and orchestrate computations on exascale systems.

The consortium brings together Cemosis / IRMA and the Inria teams Acumes, Calisto, Maasai and Makutu.
