Application domains

Transport of a large cylindrical industrial structure.
Illustration of the CIFRE partnership with AVNIR Energy.

This CIFRE partnership brings together AVNIR Energy and Cemosis / IRMA, University of Strasbourg, for the PhD of Hanna Chetouane, a former CSMI master’s student, supervised by Christophe Prud’homme.

Supervision

  • Scientific supervision: Christophe Prud’homme — University of Strasbourg.
  • Scientific co-supervision: Vincent Chabannes — Cemosis / IRMA, University of Strasbourg.
  • Industry supervision: Gabriel Georges — AVNIR Energy.
  • Industry co-supervision: Pascal Vouagner — AVNIR Energy.

Research abstract

The PhD studies high-order finite-element methods for simulating the transient vibroacoustic response of thin structures. It investigates vibration and wave propagation and coupling between a structure and its surrounding fluid.

The goal is to balance the fidelity of simulated signals with computing costs, contributing to structural health monitoring in industry. Numerical developments will use Feel++ and will be compared with experimental measurements.
