The next H2020 MSO4SC project general assembly will take place in Strasbourg (FRANCE) ! (10/11 April 2018)
Table of Contents
Cemosis is hosting the next MSO4SC project (MSO for Societal Challenges with Scientific Computing) aims at bringing complex mathematical tools via MSO (Modelling, Simulation and Optimization) frameworks and HPC/cloud infrastructure to a large panel of end-users.
Last updates on the project will be discussed in order to provide quality/reliable products by the end of the project. The featured pilot applications are the following
- Eye2Brain – Research for glaucoma detection,
- ZibAffinity – Quantification of binding affinities of molecules for toxicology and food safety,
- HiFiMagnet – High field magnets for research,
- 3DAirQuality – Urban air quality prediction,
- FloatingWindTurbine – Marine research and floating wind turbines,
- OPMFlow – Black oil simulator.
which will be available in MSO portal. (coming soon!)

Objectives
This General Assembly will focus on the analysis of the current status of the work, integration between WP3-4-5 and the planning of activities for the next months. The main objectives to fulfill during this meeting are the following:
- Report on current activities and issues identified
- Identify the most urgent developments and plan the next activities
- Identify further issues with the integration of MADFs, Pilots, the Orchestrator and the MSO Portal;
- Plan next dissemination actions and identify new activities;
- Check the status of all the WPs in general, and next deliverables in particular;
- Discuss about open administrative and management aspects (including comments from the review).

From airport to Strasbourg:
If you arrive from Strasbourg Entzheim Airport, you have a direct TER train to the Strasbourg (The train ticket can be taken at the Airport-train station directly, no reservation is required). Then you can take the tram C to go to the university till the stop “University“.
Due to a french train service strike : please note that there might not be any TGV available for a Paris-Strasbourg journey. You might rather consider travelling via Germany (Karlsruhe or Franckfort airports) or Switzerland (Basel airport).
