This page presents a project from the Cemosis archive. The date is its original publication date.

The challenge

Reducing building energy consumption requires understanding thermal behaviour and comparing possible interventions before undertaking renovation work.

The 4fastsim-ibat project aims to combine physical simulation, artificial intelligence methods and sensor data to study existing buildings.

Objectives

  • Develop a building information model (BIM) of existing buildings.
  • Develop a fast 3D thermal model combining learning methods and physical simulation.
  • Use sensors deployed on the IBat platform.

Tools and collaboration

The project uses Feel++ for numerical simulation and neural networks for learning methods. The original page describes a collaboration between Cemosis and Synapse-Concept, funded by the Région Grand Est.
