High-performance computing (HPC), numerical simulation, artificial intelligence and agentic AI are changing scientific practices and professional roles. In a rapidly evolving world, preserving, sharing and developing expertise is a matter of scientific and technological sovereignty. Mathematics plays a critical role in designing, understanding and validating scientific tools.

Organised as part of the PEPR NumPEx programme’s participation in the Forum Entreprises & Mathématiques 2026, the “Mathématiques et numérique” round table will bring together research and industry perspectives. This dialogue will highlight the connections between research, industry and education, as well as career prospects for students, doctoral researchers and recent graduates at the interface of mathematics, computing and AI.
