We are Cemosis.

Innovation through modeling and simulation.

Cemosis is hosted by the Institute of Advanced Mathematical Research (IRMA) and was created in January 2013. Cemosis mainly relies currently on the team Modeling and Control of the IRMA and especially people below.

Our Objectives

Federate

Federate the efforts in Modeling and Simulation in Strasbourg area

Foster

Foster interdisciplinary projects around the modeling and numerical simulation;

Increase

Increase the visibility of achievements and skills around modeling;

Promote

Promote interaction between research actors, SME / SMIs and large companies of the Alsace region.

Promote the dissemination and implementation of training around the calculation and modeling;

Who we are.

We are mathematician researchers and engineers from the team modeling and control of the Institute of Advanced Mathematics Research.

How we work.

Cemosis collaborations are multi-faceted, they can be with other academic disciplines or with entreprises. Typically a collaboration falls into one of the categories below depending on its time frame.

1 At the first level : models and simulation tools we have are directly applicable. Training in the use of tools and methodologies may be proposed. These are short-term projects from a few months to a year. This level of project is typically a first step to more advanced colloboration or research projects.

2 At the second level: models are available but the software tools are not directly available and need to be developed and adapted. This level usually lasts usually one year or two and involves recruiting a postdoctorate or an engineer.

3 At the third level: models, methods and software are not directly available. It usually requires Phd projects using a Cifre convention. The collaboration lasts at least 3 years.
