Professor at the University of Strasbourg in the Institute of Advanced Research in Mathematic.
He did his studies at University Pierre et Marie Curie and my Ph.D. under the supervision of Pr Olivier Pironneau
He got his Ph.D. in 2000 and did 3 years of postdoc then research scientist at MIT in Anthony Patera’s team to develop the reduced basis methodology.
End of 2003, he joined the team of Pr Alfio Quarteroni at EPFL as a research scientist to work on life science applications as well as numerical methods for PDE
In 2006 he got a full Professor position at Université de Grenoble-Alpes in Applied Mathematics and co-creates in 2009/2010 MaiMoSINE, the first MSO french center.
Since 2012 he is a full Professor in Strasbourg and created in 2013 and currently lead Cemosis, the second french MSO center. He also works as a project manager for AMIES, the French Agency for interaction between Mathematics Entreprises and Society. In particular, he follows and participate to activities at the European level.
His research topics are in numerical methods for PDE, mostly Galerkin type with application in multi-disciplinary and industrial research.
